In Argentina; the interpretation of the rules concerning definition of product family has become more stringent. Now all parts of a product type designation must have a distinct meaning, such as range of voltage or amperage, and not be just kept open for any variable.
Also, multiple factory listings on the certificate is no longer allowed. When more than one factory is making the same product, individual certificates for each factory is required, and a product sample from each factory has to be submitted. Multiple certificates under the same application may, however, be eligible for discounts. It is also the understanding that existing certificates must be made in line with the new requirements before the next scheduled market surveillance in Argentina.
