India TEC Update on Mandatory Testing Certification of Telecommunication Equipment

India TEC has announced the following updates to MTCTE (Mandatory Testing Certification of Telecommunication Equipment).

• Phase One of this regulation will begin October 1^st, 2019, and will cover the following products:

1. Executive telephone systems
2. NSD/ISD payphones
3. Electronic telephone instruments
4. Key telephone systems
5. 2-line feature phones
6. Coin box telephones
7. Terminals for connecting to PSTN
8. CLIP phones
9. Modems
10. G3 FAX machines
11. ISDN customer-premises equipment (CPE)
12. Cordless telephones
13. Private automatic branch exchange (PABX)

• The official MTCTE (Mandatory Testing Certification of Telecommunication Equipment) portal will officially open on July 5^th, 2019, and application submittal will begin July 9^th, 2019.
• International reports from ILAC-accredited test labs will be accepted until March 31^st, 2020.
• In certain situations, exemptions may be available from TEC. Please contact us for more information.
