Beginning March 1st, 2022, the 76-79 GHz band will require China SRRC for Automotive Radar for the following usages (not complete list):
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Collision Avoidance
- Blind Spot Detection
- Lane Change Assistance
- Parking Assistance
- Rear View Warning
- Pedestrian Detection
This frequency cannot be used for other types of land-based radars (unless otherwise specified by the national radio administration), and cannot be used for radars loaded on air crafts (including UAVs, balloons, airships, etc.).
Automotive radar equipment produced or imported for sale and use in China must meet the “Radio Frequency Technical Requirements for Automotive Radar” standard, and apply for China SRRC. Frequency bands 24.25-26.65 GHz and 76-77 GHz were previously used for Automotive Radar, but will no longer be available for use after March 1st, 2022.
