China CNCA has advised the following Safety and EMC Standards will be replaced with the following new standards:
Safety
Old GB Standard: GB 8898-2011 (AV) & GB 4943.1-2011 (IT)
New GB Standard: GB 4943.1-2022
Harmonized Standard: IEC 62368-1: 2018 (3rd Edition)
The new standard will be officially implemented on August 1st, 2023.
EMC
Old GB Standards: GB/T 13837-2012 (AV) & GB/T 9254-2008 (IT)
New GB Standard: GB/T 9254.1-2021
Harmonized Standard: CISPR 32:2015
The new standard was officially implemented on July 1st, 2022.
New products can start testing to the new EMC GB standard starting July 1, 2022 and Safety GB standard starting August 1, 2023. For products that have been certified to the old GB standard, CCC certificates must be updated to the new EMC/Safety GB standards no later than July 31, 2024.
