The following are updates from the Chinese Government for the beginning of 2025:
Electric Vehicle Power Supply Equipment
The Chinese Government has announced the following requirements regarding Electric Vehicle Power Supply Equipment
Beginning March 1st, 2025, approved certification bodies will begin accepting China CCC Certification Commissions for Electric Vehicle Power Supply Equipment. Only approved Certification Bodies and Laboratories will be allowed to complete this certification and will officially be announced at a later date.

AC charging piles for electric vehicles / Fixed AC charging equipment for electric vehicles.
2. Non-fixed AC charging equipment for electric vehicles (such as In-Cable control and protection device IC-CPD). |

Any Electric Vehicle Power Supply Equipment that has not obtained China CCC Certification and do not have the correct certification labels and marks by August 1st, 2026 will not be allowed to be sold, imported, or used in China.
Tower and Rack Servers to be added to China Energy Label List
Beginning June 1st, 2025, tower and rack servers will be added to China’s Energy Label List. The associated China GB Standard for this requirement will be GB 43630-2023: Minimum Allowable Values of Energy Efficiency and Energy Efficiency Grades for Tower and Rack Servers. The below logo will be required on one’s product:
Please note, tower and rack servers manufactured or imported before June 1st, 2025 can delay this requirement until June 1st, 2027 in accordance with China’s implementation rules.
Extended Validity Period for Certain Automotive Products under CCAP Certification
China CCAP has advised China CCAP Certificates will now be valid for ten (10) years for the following automotive products:
- Brake Hoses
- Door Locks and Door Retainers
- Motor Vehicle Horns
- Fuel Tanks
- Interior Parts
- Indirect Vision Devices
- Seats and Headrests
- Safety Belts
Existing certificates for products noted in the above list will automatically be adjusted from five years to the new ten-year validity period.
