According to the governmental SAC Bulletin No. 41-2012, the current CCC EMC test standards GB13837 “the limiting value of Radio disturbance characteristics and measurement method of sound broadcasting, television broadcasting receiver and related devices” and GB17625.1-2003 “Electromagnetic compatibility – Limits for harmonic current emissions (equipment input current ≤ 16 A per phase)” have been updated to new editions GB13837-2012 & GB17625.1-2012, being effective from 1 July, 2013.
The new standards apply to the following types of products within the scope of the mandatory Chinese CCC scheme: IT, Telecom, Audio/Video, Household appliances, and Electrical motor tools.
For those CCC products that have been CCC certified with the old standard, it can be submitted for version change application. The certification authority will arrange an assigned test laboratory to perform the testing and update the CCC certificate for the product which can meet the requirement of new standard.
The compliance process allows the qualified enterprise to use “The supplier conformance statement” to complete the version change. The enterprise should provide the compliance statement of products can comply with the new standard and also provide the testing report from the manufacturer’s own lab. (This lab should be qualified by the institutions which mutual recognized by ILAC agreement according to the ISO/IEC17025).
