From July 1, 2013, the first three codes (KCC) of KC ID scheme changed to four identification codes (MSIP: Ministry of Science, ICT & Future Planning). Other coding of the ID scheme will not be changed. There is a three month transition period, from July 1 to September 30, 2013.
– Certified product before June 30, 2013: Don’t need to change the certification number
– Submitted before June 30 and reviewing product now: follow the previous labeling requirement with KCC
– New submittals after July 1, 2013: follow the new regulation with MSIP. But, during the transition period, applicants can use the KCC code instead of MSIP even if it was certified with MSIP.
From Oct. 1, 2013, applicant must use the new codes “MSIP”
Previous cede system: KCC-AAA-BBB-12345678901234
New code system: MSIP-AAA-BBB-12345678901234
